On Monday, Hoonigan’s Instagram account acknowledged the death of its creator. Block died at the age of 55, after becoming a legend in the auto enthusiast world, mainly for his work on the Gymkhana series.
“It is with profound sadness that we can report that Ken Block died in a snowmobile accident today,” the message states. “Ken was a visionary, a pioneer, and an icon. Most significantly, he is a parent and spouse. He will be greatly missed. Please respect the family’s privacy as they grieve.”
The 911 call was answered by the Sheriff’s Office, Utah State Parks, and the United States Forest Service. Despite the fact that he was snowmobiling with a group, the statement states that Block was riding alone when the tragedy occurred. The Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office is currently investigating the cause of death.
